How to use				examples	Translation	note
but; however; though~.	Phrase	+でも	+Phrase	パン屋(や)に行(い)きました。でも、何(なに)も買(か)いませんでした	I went to the bakery, but didn't buy anything.
… or something; how about~.	Noun		+verb	水(みず)でも飲(の)みますか？	Would you care for some water or something to drink?
even if I have to～；by any means~.	Verb Te-from		+verb	家(いえ)を売(う)ってでも留学(りゅうがく)に行(い)きたいです。	I want to study abroad even if I have to sell my house
Whatever; whichever; anything; everything	なん/どれ		+verb/adj	このレストランの料理(りょうり)はなんでもおいしい	Every dish in this restaurant is delicious
Nothing (Never mind)	なん		+ない	A:何(なに)かあったの？ B:何(なん)でもない...	A: What happened? B: Nothing ...	※【なんにもない】, that something doesn't exist there. Use 【なんでもない】 when you want to say that there is nothing important that you need to pay attention to.
