ほしい

 Meaning: 

1. が+ほしい - I want something
2. Te-from+ほしい- I want somebody to do something.

 

How to use		examples	Translation
to want something	Noun+ が+ほしい	あたらしい　コンピューター　が　ほしい	I want a new PC
I want you to~	Verb Te-from+ほしい	ゆっくり　はなして　ほしい	I want you to speak slowly

 

Note: "ほしい" is い-adjective, so please follow the い-Adjectives conjugation.

Note: If you use Te-from+もらい+ たい instead of ほしい, you can express your desire in a more polite way like “would like someone to do something.
